In a significant incident in Karnataka’s Ramanagara district, over 150 individuals were admitted to various hospitals due to symptoms of food poisoning. This happened after they attended a wedding function in Channapatna town, located nearly 60 km from Bengaluru. The wedding party was hosted at the Milan Shadi mall in Tipu Nagar and saw an attendance of more than 200 people.

After having food and ice cream at the wedding, guests began to complain about vomiting and diarrhoea. They were immediately taken to nearby hospitals where doctors diagnosed them with food poisoning. While most affected individuals were discharged following preliminary treatment, there are still three patients who continue to receive treatment for the food poisoning incident.

In an attempt to ascertain the cause of this food poisoning outbreak, health officials have dispatched samples of the food and ice cream consumed at the wedding to a laboratory for testing. They are currently awaiting the results of these tests. However, they have confirmed that all the patients who were affected by this incident are now out of danger.
