“On Sunday morning, December 17, 1962, two employees in the flight control section of a large commercial air line each consumed what appeared to be a cream filled doughnut from an unrefrigerated vending machine in the office.
Less than three hours later both men became acutely ill with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea and were forced to leave work. Staphylococcal food poisoning was clearly indicated”.
